Beta — end of August

ME7Tune
VR6

The 12v VR6 build is running. 110 named maps and values, the load caps opened up for boost, launch control and a MAF housing calculator — all working against a real 021906018.

Beta targeted for end of August · No pre-orders · No deposit

Ignition — Base TimingKFZW · 16 × 12 · °BTDC
The Base Timing screen of the VR6 tuner: the KFZW ignition angle map as a coloured table of crank degrees against rpm and load, beside a rotatable 3D surface of the same map.

KFZW base ignition on the 12v. Table and surface side by side, the same as every other platform.

Where it
actually is

021906018 — the 12v VR6, 1999.5 to 2002, manual. Everything below is working against a real stock file, not planned.

Boost

Load caps opened up

The VR6 is naturally aspirated from the factory, so the stock calibration caps requested load where a stock engine would never go. Those ceilings are editable here — the volumetric flow limits across the rev range, and the two byte-level caps patched into the code. Raise them and the ECU will actually ask for the air a turbo or supercharger can supply.

Calibration

110 named maps and values

Timing, fuelling, the torque chain, idle and sensors — named, scaled and checked cell by cell against the stock binary. Each one has a plain-English note on what it does and what changing it will do, not just the factory German label.

Tools

Launch control & MAF rescale

The 2-step patch installs with ten editable parameters — launch rpm, retard, cut duration, arming conditions — and comes back out cleanly. The MAF calculator rescales the sensor curve by area when you fit a different housing, which you will if you are moving serious air.

Load / Torque — Load CapsRLVSMXN · 11 pts · % vs rpm
The Load Caps page showing RLVSMXN as a coloured row of volumetric flow values against rpm with a curve beside it, and the two single-byte load ceilings as sliders below.

The breathing curve across the rev range, and the two byte-level ceilings under it. Both normally need raising together.

Configuration editors

Output stages and the exhaust-side configuration are editable as named switches rather than raw bytes, with the ME7.1 bit layout built in. Useful when the hardware on the car no longer matches what the factory expected.

In progress

Flashing and logging

Both use the same code that already runs the other platforms. The VR6's logger definitions are bundled — 520 channels — and there is more work to do on the logger side before it is signed off. That is the main thing between here and the beta.

Launch Control2-step · 10 parameters
The Launch Control page showing the patch applied, with sliders for speed threshold, retard onset rpm, launch rpm, cut duration, arming rpm, retard angle, pedal threshold and coolant threshold.

Patched in, with launch rpm, retard and the arming conditions all editable. It comes back out cleanly too.

Fueling — MAF / InjectorsMLHFM · 512 pts · kg/h
The MAF and Injectors page showing the MAF Housing Rescale calculator set from 73 to 83 millimetres, above the MLHFM linearisation curve.

Housing calculator above the curve it rescales — 73 to 83 mm is 29% more air, because the scaling is by area.
